About

Leadership is not about titles or authority. It is about influence, impact, and authentic presence. As responsibility expands, leaders empower others, shape culture, and own results.

I am Maureen Mitchell, Founder of Aspire to Lead®. I partner with organizations and leaders navigating growth, transition, and increased responsibility to strengthen leadership capability and build the systems that make leadership effective in practice. 


With more than 25 years of experience in senior, director-level leadership roles within global organizations, I understand the real pressures leaders face. I have led teams, built and transformed operating models, and supported leaders at every stage, from newly promoted managers to senior executives responsible for performance across teams and functions.


My work sits at the intersection of leadership development, executive coaching, and performance execution. I help leaders move beyond good intentions toward consistent execution—by aligning capability, expectations, and structure.


How I Work


Leadership challenges rarely stem from intelligence or technical skill. More often, they arise when organizational growth outpaces leadership habits, shared language, or systems. 


That is where my work is focused, helping leaders close the gap between growth and how it is practiced day to day. 


I partner closely with leaders and organizations to:

  • Develop leadership capability that scales as responsibility increases
  • Strengthen judgment, presence, and decision-making under pressure
  • Build leaders’ ability to coach, develop, and motivate others through effective feedback and everyday leadership behaviors 
  • Create clarity around expectations, accountability, and performance
  • Design leadership and performance systems that reinforce consistency, not administrative drag
     

Whether through one-on-one coaching, leadership team development, or performance system design, my approach is practical, grounded, and focused on real-world application.


This is not theoretical leadership work. It is leadership that shows up in daily decisions, conversations, and outcomes.
